Every piece of office equipment MicroKernel supplies will eventually reach the end of its useful life. Most organisations have no structured answer to what happens next; devices pile up in storerooms, or are handed to informal collectors with no documentation and no accountability.
We provide Nigerian organisations with a responsible, documented, and fully compliant way to retire end-of life office equipment; protecting their data, meeting their regulatory obligations, and contributing to a cleaner environment.
1. Equipment Takeback & Responsible Disposal
When your equipment reaches end of life, MicroKernel collects it from your premises and processes it through our responsible disposal programme. You receive a Certificate of EcoFriendly Disposal recognised by NESREA and LASEPA confirming that your organization’s endof life electronics were handled in full compliance with Nigeria’s environmental regulations. For banks, government agencies, multinationals, and any organization with ESG reporting obligations, this certificate is no longer optional. It is a governance and compliance requirement. Call 08099355500 to arrange a collection.
2. Trade-In Programme
Upgrading your equipment? Give us your old machines and receive credit toward your next purchase or lease. Rather than leaving ageing devices in a storeroom or handing them to informal collectors, you receive a trade-in credit that reduces the cost of your upgrade. We assess the device, agree a credit value, and collect on delivery day. Ask about trade-in pricing when discussing your next equipment upgrade.
3. Refurbished Equipment
Properly restored commercial MFP, genuine parts, fully tested, graded by condition, and sold with a 90-day warranty and full after-sales support.
Grade A – Fully functional, minimal cosmetic wear
Grade B -Fully functional, visible cosmetic wear
Professional equipment at accessible prices for schools, clinics, NGOs, and SMEs.
Call 08099355500 for currently available units.
4. Shredded Paper Recycling
Shredded document waste from our clients is routed responsibly through our recycling programme rather than sent to landfill.
We issue a Certificate of Secure Document Destruction confirming that documents were securely destroyed and the resulting material responsibly recycled.
For organisations with NDPR obligations around document disposal, this provides the audit trail your compliance team needs.
All equipment processed through Green MTL is handled in compliance with:
Nigeria generates significant volumes of electronic waste annually. Most of it is handled informally in ways that are harmful to communities and the environment. MicroKernel believes Nigerian businesses have both the responsibility and the opportunity to do better. Green MTL is our contribution to that, giving organisations a credible, documented, and compliant alternative. Every organisation that chooses a responsible disposal route makes a decision that has real, measurable impact.
